The French airline Hop is returning to Nuremberg on June 25, 2021 on behalf of Air France. The carrier will connect the Bavarian airport with Embraer regional jets with Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Thus Nuremberg has the connection to the Skyteam hub back.

From June 25 to July 12, 2021, Air France will fly two to four times a week from Nuremberg to Paris. From July 12, 2021, it will start five times a week from northern Bavaria to the French capital.

Air France has a long tradition in association with Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg. In October 1958, the French airline's Caravelle landed for the first time a “real jet plane” at the airport in Franconia. On July 21, 1986 even the legendary Concorde, coming from Paris, visited the metropolitan region of Nuremberg in the presence of over 20.000 onlookers.
