The Austrian retail group Spar will keep the branches at airports and train stations open again at regular opening times from May 19, 2021. So far, there have been restrictions due to the orders of the federal government.

For example, there are Spar supermarkets in the terminals in Vienna and Graz. These had - unusual for airports - significantly reduced opening times due to the government's corona emergency measures regulations. This should end on Wednesday so that employees and travelers can shop again at a late hour.

Spar also announced that all other branches will also return to their regular opening times. The FFP2 mask requirement stipulated by the federal government remains unchanged.

A little more thorough research would have shown that the Spar branch at Graz Airport still maintained the restricted opening times ... at least until flight operations picked up a little more speed!
