Airbus recently announced that it intends to gradually cut almost 5.100 jobs. Now there should also be more details on individual branches: Accordingly, there is talk of a total of 3.175 redundancies - at German locations alone.

In Hamburg alone, including Buxtehude and Fuhlsbüttel, 2.325 jobs are to be cut. Stade and Bremen are also severely affected by this austerity measure and would have to accept triple-digit headcount losses, such as ndr.de reported. But not only the production area is feeling this crisis. No area will be spared, according to Labor Director Marco Wagner. It would appear that the European aircraft manufacturer will emerge from the corona crisis as a smaller company, Wagner continued.
