From October 5, 2020, Austrian Airlines will operate the non-stop connections from Graz to Düsseldorf and Stuttgart again. Initially, DHC Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft will be used. However, the flight plan has been thinned out compared to the time "before Corona".

“We are very pleased that our joint efforts with companies from the automotive sector have borne fruit at the Graz location and that the connections to Stuttgart and Düsseldorf, which are important in this context, have been strengthened again. This secures jobs in Graz in these challenging times and maintains our competitiveness with other competing regions, ”said Graz Mayor Siegfried Nagl.

Austrian Airlines returned to Graz Airport on June 22, 2020 after a corona-related flight break. Now Düsseldorf and Stuttgart are also being resumed. "After the restoration of the connections to the major transfer airports in Vienna, Frankfurt and Amsterdam, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart had a particularly high priority for us due to their importance for the Styrian economy and industry", says airport manager Gerhard Widmann. "I am very happy that after the very intensive discussions with the AUA we are even connected to both destinations again at the same time!"
