Munich Airport recorded around 2023 million passengers in the first half of 16,6. In a direct comparison with the same period of the previous year, it was possible to increase by 28 percent. The average utilization of the aircraft is said to have been 80 percent.

However, in the first six months of the current year, the Bavarian airport was around 25 percent below the performance it had in the record year 2019. The utilization, on the other hand, should be a new peak value.

The upward trend is also reflected in the increase in the number of flight movements: in the first half of 2023, over 140.0000 flight movements were registered. This was an increase of nine percent over the previous year. Bavaria's premium hub now offers 200 travel destinations in 60 countries worldwide.

The cargo business at the airport is also benefiting from the increase in air traffic in Munich: With a total volume of around 132.000 tons, the tonnage rose by more than four percent compared to the same period last year.
