Hamburg: Lufthansa Technik opens a new training center

Advertising

Lufthansa Technik has put a new training center for maintenance staff into operation in Hamburg. This has cost around 7,5 million euros. In particular, the aim is to inspire career changers for careers in aviation.

At the Lufthansa subsidiary, it is assumed that the need for personnel will increase sharply in the next few years. At the same time, there is an acute shortage of skilled workers. The new training center is also intended to train career changers who already have a technical background and get them interested in aviation.

At the Hamburg-Rahlstedt location, Lufthansa Technik wants to train 376 additional employees this year alone. The capacity is to be increased to 1.000 training places within the next five years.
