The shipping company MSC Cruises has decided to cancel further Magnifica cruises planned for Hamburg. Among other things, the company announced that due to the current pandemic situation, the suspension of travel had to be extended.
The background is, among other things, that northern European countries have issued particularly tough entry regulations for cruise liners. These are still standing. According to the MSC, this means that numerous shore excursions cannot be carried out. These would be important to many passengers.
MSC Cruises is currently aiming for cruises to be operated again from Hamburg from February 6, 2022. Whether this date can be met depends primarily on the further development of the entry and quarantine regulations of various countries.
