Two Embraer planes operated by the Swiss airline will be in action at Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Airport from July 10th. Because Helvetic Airways has announced three new summer destinations: Santorini, Jerez and Larnaca.

The gradual easing of entry restrictions in EU countries, the imminent introduction of the Covid certificate and the advances in vaccinations have contributed to a significant increase in demand for holiday destinations, the statement said.

“With the arrival of Helvetic Airways, new, attractive holiday destinations will be flown to from EuroAirport, and this with quieter and more fuel-efficient aircraft of the new generation,” says Matthias Suhr, Director of EuroAirport. Helvetic boss Tobias Pogorevc also finds suitable words: "With the destinations Santorini, Jerez and Larnaca as well as flights to the Balkans, we complete the offer from EuroAirport in a unique way, with particularly attractive departure times on weekends."
