The autumn holidays begin at the weekend in the German federal states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. There will be 27 departures from Leipzig / Halle and 26 departures from Dresden. Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG insistently points out in a broadcast that returnees from risk areas must complete a mandatory PCR test or, alternatively, present the results.

The following destinations are offered on the first holiday weekend from Leipzig / Halle: Most holiday machines start to Antalya (8). A total of 7 holiday flights take off to the Greek islands of Heraklion (5), Rhodes (2), Corfu (2) and Kos (16). There are also machines to Lamezia Terme (1) in Italy and Vienna (2). At the Austrian hub, passengers have connections to many other destinations.

At Dresden Airport, 26 departures are planned for the first holiday weekend. The Greek islands of Heraklion (2), Rhodes (2) and Kos (1) are very popular with a total of five starts. Antalya (2), London (1), Palma de Mallorca (1), Düsseldorf (2) and Stuttgart (1) complete the offer. There are also flights to the hubs in Amsterdam (3), Frankfurt (6) and Munich (5). From there, passengers can reach other cities and sunny destinations with just one change.

According to the Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs and Social Cohesion, travelers from risk areas are obliged to take a corona test. Anyone who has been in a risk area in the last 14 days can be tested free of charge within ten days of entering the country. An immediate change at an airport in the risk area does not count as a stay in this area.
