The German capital airport Berlin-Brandenburg was used by 2023 million passengers in January 1,3. This was well below the pre-crisis volume, because at that time Schönefeld and Tegel together had 2,4 million travelers.

In January 2022, which was influenced by the Omikron scaremongering at the time, BER had 800.000 passengers. In the first month of the year, 11.046 aircraft took off and landed at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport. Flight movements in the previous month of December amounted to 12.180. In the same period of the previous year, there were around 9.100 take-offs and landings. In January 2019, BER counted 22.300 flight movements. A total of around 2.400 tons of air freight were handled last month. In the same month of the previous year 2022 it was around 2.300 tons, in January 2019 around 2.600 tons.
