Jet Airways has taken a decisive step towards making a comeback as an airline. With the Boeing 737-800, which carries the registration VT-SXE, a positioning flight was carried out on Thursday under flight number 9W101.

This led from Hyderabad to Delhi and was celebrated as a major milestone within the company. According to an official announcement, the company intends to publish the future flight plan in the next few days. It is in the final sprint to be re-registered as an airline by the Indian Civil Aviation Authority.

“Jet Airways conducted a test flight in Hyderabad on Thursday morning followed by a positioning flight to Delhi. These were not acceptance flights. We assume that we will carry out acceptance flights in the coming days, which we will determine together with the DGCA," the company said.
