Innsbruck Airport had a total of 2022 passengers in the third quarter of 125.172. 1.477 commercial flight movements were carried out. In a direct comparison with the same period last year, the number of travelers more than doubled.

In the first nine months of the current year, Tyrolean Airport was used by 588.709 passengers. There were 5.827 commercial flights during this period. Similar to Salzburg, in Innsbruck it is not summer but winter, the time of year when the main business takes place. This has to do with the fact that many skiers use this airport as a landing pad for their vacations.

Although the first quarter of 2022 was significantly better than the winter of 2021, Innsbruck was significantly below the volume it had before the corona pandemic. There are signs of a clear recovery for the winter of 2022/23, as many winter charters have already been registered. There are also new scheduled flights.
