On Friday, May 17, 2024, a flight from the Tyrolean tour operator Idealtours took off from Innsbruck Airport directly to Lesbos in cooperation with the South Tyrolean airline Sky Alps. With this new offer, Idealtours is expanding its program to include another attractive destination in Greece. The flight was carried out with a Dash 8-400Q, which is particularly suitable for Innsbruck Airport due to its comfortable seating and generous legroom.
75 passengers were happy about the start of the season and were bid farewell by the Idealtours managing directors Susanne and Christof Neuhauser. Susanne Neuhauser was enthusiastic about the positive response to the new travel destination: “Lesbos offers fantastic beaches, a varied landscape and great hospitality – Greece as we know and love it.”
The weekly flight to Lesvos (Mytilene Airport) departs every Friday and is offered until the beginning of October. In addition to Lesbos, Idealtours' summer flight program includes other Greek destinations such as Kefalonia, Chalkidiki, Lefkas, Epiros and Kalamata. These destinations are particularly popular with Tyrolean travelers because they have preserved the originality of Greece and attract with their warm hospitality and breathtaking landscapes.
