The Israeli airline Israir is launching a new connection to German-speaking countries from April 1, 2025. Once a week, every Tuesday, the Tel Aviv – Basel/Mulhouse route will be served with a Boeing 737-800. The flight will be operated in cooperation with the wet-lease partner Smartwings. Israir is thus expanding its European route network and offering travelers from the region another direct connection to Israel.

Israir, Israel's second largest airline, already flies from Tel Aviv to Berlin and Salzburg and strengthens its presence in Europe with this new connection. The airline also operates domestic flights between Tel Aviv and Eilat as well as charter and scheduled flights to Europe, Asia and Africa. Israir's fleet consists of eight Airbus A320s, which will also be used for the planned European routes.

By launching this new connection, Israir is demonstrating its ambition to further expand its market position and serve the demand for air travel between Israel and Europe. The airline is pursuing continuous expansion to support the growing tourist and business traffic.
