Ita Airways uses Airbus A321LR on short-haul routes

On December 1, 2023, Ita Airways will put its first Airbus A321LR into active scheduled service. The original plan was for this pattern to fly between Rome-Fiumicino and Tel Aviv. However, due to the current security situation, the plans were changed.

First, Ita Airways is using its first LR aircraft from the Italian capital towards Paris-Charles de Gaulle and London-Heathrow. On board there is a cabin interior that is comparable to widebodies on long-haul flights. In the medium term, Ita Airways wants to use the Airbus A321LR to open up some routes on which the use of wide-body aircraft would be uneconomical.
