Italy prohibits the use of the overhead bins

Advertising

No more trolleys in the cabin: The Italians prohibit the use of the overhead lockers on board for security reasons. This emerges from the newly issued guidelines of the Italian aviation authority ENAC.

Only items of luggage that can be stowed under the seat in front are allowed. With these stricter measures, one could keep the number of passengers better under control and at the same time curb the risk of infection with the new Covid-19 pathogen, such as orf.at reported.
