On January 27, 2025, the 102nd Hunters' Ball will take place in Vienna, an event that is an integral part of the social calendar for many lovers of Austrian tradition and joie de vivre. The evening will be kicked off in style with an exclusive reception at "Collina am Berg". Host Tono Soravia and head chef Martin Feichtinger combine hunting heritage with contemporary elegance in an innovative culinary concept.
The heart of the so-called Flying Dinner is a whole wild boar, which is prepared with artisanal precision. The dishes are deliberately designed to be easy to enjoy and offer the ball guests an easy start to the evening. This concept reflects a modern interpretation of hunting tradition, without losing touch with the values of hunting - conviviality, enjoyment and respect.
"The Hunters' Ball has always stood for the combination of tradition and joie de vivre. With our reception we want to honor these values and at the same time create a stylish setting for the ball," explains Tono Soravia, who has created a place for enjoyable encounters with the "Collina am Berg".
The reception at "Collina am Berg" begins at 17.00 p.m. and lasts until 22.00 p.m. For 120 euros per person, guests have access to a carefully selected selection of food and drinks. In addition to beer, wine and sparkling wine, gin and tonics are also served to cater for every taste. The elegant atmosphere of the restaurant, which is located on the picturesque Spittelberg in Vienna's seventh district, offers the ideal setting to start the evening in style.
The “Collina am Berg”: A modern hunting lodge
The "Collina am Berg", opening in November 2023, is Tono Soravia's first restaurant in Austria. After ten years abroad, he returned to realize a vision: a restaurant that combines modern cuisine with Austrian tradition. Head chef Martin Feichtinger, holder of three toques, places particular emphasis on high-quality ingredients from local sources. The menu, influenced by Soravia's international experience, reflects the diversity of Austrian nature and agriculture.
The ambience of the restaurant, a modern hunting lodge with a seasonally changing menu, invites guests to experience the symbiosis of innovation and tradition. Since its opening, the "Collina am Berg" has already established itself as a highlight of the Viennese gastronomy scene.
The Hunters' Ball is considered an important event in the Viennese ball calendar. With its focus on hunting traditions, it attracts not only passionate hunters, but also a broad audience that appreciates the charm of Austrian culture. The reception at "Collina am Berg" expands this framework with a culinary experience that preserves tradition and meets modern demands.
