Last month, the Latvian airline welcomed exactly 114.700 passengers across 1.780 flights on board.

This means Air Baltic can grow significantly - compared to the same period in 2020, this corresponds to an increase of 90 percentage points. Nevertheless: Under normal circumstances, the airline would speak of completely different numbers. The pre-crisis level for June would have been reached with a little more than 205.000 passengers, the carrier informed on Thursday. “Many travelers had to wait a long time to finally be able to travel safely again. We expect an upward trend in passenger numbers, ”says Air Baltic boss Martin Gauss.
