The Italian Lufthansa subsidiary Air Dolomiti has been connecting Upper Austrian Linz Airport with the Lufthansa hub in Frankfurt am Main since Sunday. The hub connection is now restored.

The route has been paused since the beginning of the corona pandemic in Austria. Air Dolomiti is the new operator. It looks less positive on the Düsseldorf route: Eurowings postponed the admission originally announced for April 2021 several times. The carrier is currently planning to start this in September 2021. This route was previously operated by Austrian Airlines, but the Dash phasing out was handed over to its sister company Eurowings.

Air Dolomiti flies to Linz daily, except on Tuesdays. An increase to two rounds per day is planned for August 1, 2021. Regional jets from the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer are used.
