The comeback of scheduled flights at Linz-Hörsching Airport is postponing even further, because Eurowings will not operate the announced Düsseldorf connection in May 2021 either. All flights planned in the meantime on the route taken over by Austrian Airlines have been canceled for at least the calendar month May 2021.

Eurowings will also not be serving the Palma route from Linz in the same month. Reluctance can be seen in the area of charter flights, which should be operated by Bulgarian Air Charter and Corendon Airlines Europe, among others. The holiday flights have already been canceled until at least June 12, 2021.

There is currently regular air traffic with passengers in Linz. The airport will continue to be used in the cargo area. Among other things, DHL maintains a transshipment center for freight in Hörsching. During the crisis it became clear that cargo is an important pillar of Linz Airport.
