The railway operator Eurostar is launching new trains from London towards the French Alps in winter. However, these require a change in Lille.

British winter sports enthusiasts can reach destinations such as Chambéry, Albertville, Moutiers and Aime-La Plagne and Bourg-Saint-Maurice with the rail connection, which is offered on Saturday and Sunday traffic days.

The inclusion of the "Snow Trains" has been announced for December 16, 2023. Departure point in the British capital is London St. Pancras station. Eurostar boss Francois Le Doze: “We are proud to be able to offer our customers a sustainable travel option to the Alps with the first connection of the Eurostar Group. With a fast and easy connection, competitive prices and five stops to choose from, passengers can enjoy a seamless journey from the City of London to the snow-capped mountains of France with us.”
