Lübeck Airport's house brand, Lübeck Air, intends to become a real airline. The approval process is currently in progress and the AOC and operating license are expected to be issued early next year.

The provider, which is currently still virtual, was founded in 2016. Since August 2020, an ATR72-500 operated by the Danish Air Alsie has been operating within Germany, among other places. The route network has since been expanded and the program also includes international destinations such as Bern and Salzburg.

In the current summer season 2022 flies in Embraer 190 operated by German Airways for Lübeck, which is formally a wet lease for Air Alsie. This machine is coming too from Berne and Salzburg used for charter flights.

According to a report by Aero International, it has recently applied for an AOC and an operating permit. In the coming year it is planned to manage the ATR72-500, which is currently operated by Air Alsie, with its own employees. In the medium term, the aim is to expand both the fleet and the number of destinations.

The route network offered by Lübeck Air in summer 2022 is shown graphically below. Some routes that can be booked exclusively through tour operators are not included. The current summer flight schedule 2022 is below provided as a PDF at this link.
