Lufthansa ends “entrance tickets” for first-class lounges

From now on, you can no longer “shop” in the first-class lounges of Lufthansa. Just a few weeks after the launch, the crane is discontinuing this offer, which cost 149 euros in Frankfurt.

According to Frankfurtflyer.de, the price had even been raised to 200 euros per visit, but Lufthansa no longer wants to serve paying guests. In future, the use of these lounges will again be linked to a First Class ticket or the HON Circle Card. In the last few weeks the demand has risen sharply. This exclusive waiting area is said to have been well filled in Frankfurt am Main and Munich.

Lufthansa did not comment on the cessation of “shopping” in the first-class lounges. However, it can be assumed that customers with the most expensive tickets or the highest status card do not want to expect an overcrowded lounge. In any case, the offer lasted only a few weeks.
