Lufthansa is closing the First Class Lounges for the second time due to the corona pandemic. In Frankfurt, this will close its doors for an indefinite period from Wednesday, November 18, 2020. Affected travelers can switch to the Senator or Business Lounge.
Due to the legal regulations, catering is no longer permitted in the exclusive waiting areas. Only drinks and food are allowed. According to reports, the frequency has fallen sharply due to this measure, because quenching thirst and eating is no longer allowed in the lounge.
The First Class Terminal in Frankfurt am Main is still not available. This has been closed since the beginning of the corona crisis in Europe. There is not yet a date for a possible restart. The corresponding clientele has been massively angry about the measure for several months and will probably not take the recent closure of the First Class Lounge positively.
