The newly founded Eurowings Discover will be positioned as the Lufthansa Group's holiday airline. First of all, they want to take off with three Airbus A330-200s and two A330-300s. In the next few months, an additional ten A320s from Lufthansa’s inventory are to join the fleet.

While the A330-200 has long been known to be the D-AXGB, D-AXGE and the D-AXGF, it was only confirmed a few weeks ago that the sister company Edelweiss Air would deliver two Airbus A330-300s to Eurowings Discover will deliver. These will have the registrations D-AFYQ and D-AFYR. Since it is a so-called drylease, nothing changes in terms of ownership.

The Eurowings Discover long-haul fleet will therefore consist of the following jets:

Ten Airbus A320s are switching from Lufthansa to Eurowings Discover

The Airbus A320 fleet, which is to be used on short and medium-haul routes, comes entirely from the holdings of the parent company Lufthansa. The current schedule - subject to changes - stipulates that from September 2021 the machines listed below are to switch from LH-AOC to those of EW Discover GmbH. Later, other aircraft, the origin of which is still open, will join the new holiday airline. Most recently, a target size of around 20 Airbus A320s was named. Eurowings Discover could possibly also be allocated A320neo models, but there is no official confirmation for this. What is certain, however, is that in the coming years, Airbus A321neo will be fleeted at Eurowings Germany. These will replace the three former Laudamotion-A321ceo.

According to the current planning status, the Eurowings Discover short-haul fleet is to consist of the following jets:
