Lufthansa will station four more long-haul Airbus A350 aircraft at Munich Airport. Naturally, this decision was positively received by the management of Bavaria's largest airport.

It is a four Airbus A350 that Lufthansa obtains used from lessors. For a long time it was unclear whether these would be stationed in Munich or Frankfurt am Main. Now the Kranich management has decided in favor of the Bavarian airport.

The result is that the A350 fleet stationed in Munich will grow to 21 units. All four A350s that will be added are leased and previously flew for Philippine Airlines. Necessary maintenance was carried out by Lufthansa Technik's Luqa location.

“This is an extremely important signal, especially in the current crisis, which promises additional thrust for our premium hub in Munich. With its total of 21 Airbus A350s, Lufthansa can offer even more long-haul flights at its Bavarian hub, thereby further consolidating Munich's excellent global connections. With the beginning of the upcoming summer flight schedule period, Lufthansa will serve two highly attractive long-haul destinations directly from Munich for the first time, namely San Diego and Rio de Janeiro, and will also fly to Bangkok again, ”explains Munich Airport Manager Jost Lammers.
