Lufthansa takes it into its own hands: Eurowings loses Munich as a hub

The crane airline picks up almost all Eurowings routes from Munich - only five destinations remain for the Lufthansa subsidiary.

From Munich, Eurowings only serves its three hubs in Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Cologne, as well as two other European cities, Pristina and Mallorca. All other of the total of 30 routes that the airline has built up over the years from Munich will go back into the hands of the AUA parent company. This means that some aircraft will also leave the Eurowings fleet, which were originally supposed to be replaced by a few new A320neo, reports Reisetopia.de. A few years ago Lufthansa completely reorganized itself in Germany. With the exception of domestic German routes to and from Frankfurt or Munich, all other connections have been handed over to Eurowings.
