The maintenance giant's Irish subsidiary is expanding its business and location to meet growing demand.

Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon is increasing capacity with a new 2000 square meter building in the Shannon Free Trade Zone. As part of this, it also offers new products for the CFM56 and V2500 engines that power the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. The new workshop will go into operation in the first quarter of 2023.

“This is a very special milestone for LTTS as we celebrate 30 years of operations in Ireland,” said Michael Malewski, CEO and Managing Director of LTTS. “We are delighted to be adding a manufacturing operation to the Shannon Aviation Services Cluster. The region has been home to Lufthansa Technik’s MRO activities since the 1990s and it is great to be contributing to its expansion. With this commitment to a promising business area, we aim to increase value for our growing customer base.”
