The small airline from Luxembourg has to put the red pencil on thick: the bottom line is that Luxair is making a loss of 155 million euros.
The Luxembourg airline made a loss of 72,8 million euros, while the Luxair Tours division added 54 million euros. Overall, the company is clearly feeling the CoV pandemic. The passenger numbers look accordingly, in 2020 71 percent fewer passengers were carried than in 2019.
In contrast, the carrier was able to increase its freight traffic. After discontinuing commercial flights, the company has increasingly relied on cargo flights from China, like sr.de reported. This resulted in an increase of six percentage points.
