The Made in Stuggi trade fair, which is currently taking place in the historic premises of the Alte Kelter in Fellbach, attracts visitors with its special charm and a unique combination of tradition and modernity.

Here, regional manufacturers and entrepreneurs from Stuttgart and the surrounding area present their diverse products, from handmade accessories to delicacies and technical innovations. This trade fair, which was specially designed for the people of the region, celebrates the diversity and creativity of the Swabian metropolis and offers a place to discover, try and shop.

The fair offers a wide range of products, from arts and crafts and jewelry to culinary specialties. Exhibitors such as small manufacturers, start-ups and creative individuals present products that are often not only handmade, but also developed in an innovative way. Visitors can discover everyday items as well as exclusive design pieces. From delicatessen products and wines to fashion and furniture and special experiences such as interactive workshops and tastings, there is something for every taste.

Small and micro businesses present their goods

Apart from a regional detergent manufacturer, there are no large companies present. The initiators of "Made in Stuggi" want to give small and micro-businesses the opportunity to present and sell their goods. From start-ups consisting of just one young entrepreneur to family farms that have been producing food and spirits for many generations, pretty much everything is represented.

This is meant in a very positive way, by the way, because the variety of regional products is enormous, especially in the areas of food and drink. At the same time, the quality is extremely high and the price level seems fair and reasonable. There is usually the opportunity to taste the products, although it is questionable whether you would want to try more than just a small sample of homemade vinegar on the spot, for example. But at home, a bottle of wild garlic vinegar from a family business in the Stuttgart region for 2,50 euros will certainly perfect one or two salads.

In the drinks section, wine, schnapps, liqueurs and beer dominate - not surprisingly. "Fybe" presents two types of iced tea that are said to contain a particularly high amount of fiber. They are also organic and contain no additives. The young entrepreneurs are certainly convincing in terms of taste with their product. An alternative to large corporations.

A very small company called "Vesperbänkle", run by Jens Schlagenhauf, a chef and nutritionist for plant-based whole foods, presents plant-based spreads. For example, they have the varieties apple-onion and sunny tomato on site. A tasting is worthwhile and if you like it, you can buy a jar to take home for a fair price of around five euros. The advantage of a regional fair like this is that you are not buying a "pig in a poke", but can convince yourself of the taste and quality by tasting it yourself, just like at a weekly market.

specialist lectures and tastings

The three companies mentioned as examples are representative of the many small companies that present their products. In addition to the food and drinks section, pretty much everything from jewelry to clothing, tableware and board games to bedroom furniture can be admired and purchased or ordered if desired. There is no sales pressure whatsoever.

A highlight of the trade fair is the extensive supporting programme, which includes informative lectures, competitions and tastings. This not only offers visitors entertainment, but also the opportunity to experience the exhibitors' products in a relaxed and informal setting. The organisers of Made in Stuggi are focusing on a mixture of experience and information to make the trade fair visit a special experience for the whole family. There is also plenty of food and drink available, with numerous food stalls inviting visitors to enjoy regional delicacies on site.

The location: Alte Keller in Fellbach near Stuttgart

The Alte Kelter, an impressive event hall built in 1906 and known for its delicate wooden roof construction, offers the perfect setting for this event. With its combination of history and modern ambience, the Kelter creates a unique atmosphere that invites relaxed conversations and encounters. Visitors can come into direct contact with the makers of the products, find out background information and discover new favorite pieces.

Tickets for the fair are available online for 8 euros, while the price at the box office is 10 euros. The event is aimed at a broad audience and appeals to families as well as individual visitors and groups interested in regional products and local innovations. With this special platform, Made in Stuggi creates an ambience that highlights the values of the Stuttgart region while making the potential of creative ideas and products visible.
