According to a new regulation, travelers do not have to present any proof upon entry.

The entry restrictions are thus completely lifted, even people without proof of vaccination or recovery are allowed to enter the country without a test. However, vacationers should note the specifications of the airline that brings them to the Portuguese islands. These may deviate from the specifications of Madeira or Porto Santos, as reported by the Reisevor9 tourism portal. In addition, some facilities on the island would require proof of a test if a full vaccination was not available - although there are now no restrictions on entry. In sporting, cultural or social institutions, for example, a certificate should be presented if vaccinated or recovered. If there is no proof of vaccination or recovery, travelers from the age of five must present a negative Covid 19 test, which must not be older than seven days, at their own expense.
