Previously, fully vaccinated passengers had to present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure.

The relevant authorities lifted this requirement on March 12. The reopening of borders for international travel last October and the easing of travel restrictions in many of Mauritius' key markets caused demand from tourists and business travelers to skyrocket. "We are pleased that the Ministry of Health and Wellness has revised the health protocol for visitors to Mauritius. This will make traveling to Mauritius much easier and more transparent," says Arvind Bundhun, Director of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority. "We expect a further increase in tourism numbers as demand for travel to Mauritius continues to grow."
