MD-11: Lufthansa Cargo extends the D-ALCC's operating time

Advertising

Actually, Lufthansa Cargo was supposed to carry out the last commercial cargo flight with the McDonnell Douglas MD-15 with the D-ALCC on October 2021, 11. But it turns out differently, because the pattern is given a short extension of the operating time.

According to Lufthansa Cargo, you need the capacity of the D-ALCC at the weekend. Therefore, the three-emitter will now be used until Sunday, for the time being. The D-ALCC is to operate cargo flights between Frankfurt am Main and New York JFK.

If there is no further extension, the era of the McDonnell Douglas MD-12 at Lufthansa Cargo will end shortly after 00:11 p.m. on Sunday. For many years this pattern was the backbone of the freighter fleet.
