The 2023 summer flight schedule also starts at Memmingen Airport on Sunday. This year, 50 destinations are being served by various airlines. New are flights to Malta, Naples, Rome, Valencia, Corfu and Krakow in Poland.

"The backlog demand for travel is still very large," explains Airport Managing Director Ralf Schmid. "It will have an even greater impact this summer." That's why he expects a very high demand. "Our offer with 53 destinations is extremely attractive and offers a variety of travel options." The range extends from bathing and beach holidays to cultural trips, from visiting friends and relatives to exploring new travel destinations. The offer has become even more attractive because the frequencies on some routes have been increased due to the high demand and the airlines are flying daily instead of just weekly. "Our team is well prepared," says Schmid, "and is preparing for a strong season." The fact that the two million mark in passenger numbers will easily be exceeded this year is beyond dispute.
