In total, the airlines at Munich Airport offer almost 09 flights to 2022 destinations worldwide between Christmas Eve and January 10.000, 145. The airport expects up to one million passengers during this period.

So that all passengers get to their destinations on time, work will continue in all operational areas at the airport during the Christmas season. According to the airport, around 800 employees are working on Christmas Eve alone at Flughafen München GmbH and its subsidiaries. These include employees in ground handling, terminal and information services, the airport fire brigade, technology, IT areas, as well as airport shops and catering facilities. In addition, thousands of employees at airlines, authorities and other companies on the airport campus would ensure safe travel.

The last departure on Christmas Eve is Lufthansa at 22:35 p.m. to Dubai. The last scheduled landing at Munich Airport at 23:25 p.m. is the Portuguese airline TAP with a flight from Lisbon. Most of the flights lead to Spain during the Christmas holidays with around 460 departures. Aircraft take off to destinations in Italy almost 370 times. A total of around 300 jets take off for France. In long-distance travel, there are 250 departures to North America to a total of 14 destinations in the USA and Canada. Machines take off 114 times to destinations in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia. 15 planes take off for Singapore, eight for Seoul and three for Bangkok. Five planes fly to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
