Munich boss Lammers re-elected ACI President

The general meeting of the Airport Council International confirmed Jost Lammers, Director of Munich Airport, in his function as association president. The manager has been in this position since July 2019. ACI represents the interests of over 500 airports in 45 European countries.

In his keynote address at the annual ACI Europe congress in Brussels, the old and new association president made clear demands on political decision-makers in the EU. In order for aviation to recover as soon as possible, according to Jost Lammers, crucial decisions must now be made. Subject to the relevant international agreements, existing travel restrictions and quarantine regulations could be replaced by an increased use of rapid antigen tests. Lammers: "Such tests effectively reduce the risk of transmission and could pave the way for a continuous regeneration of international air traffic." Jost Lammers has been at the helm of Flughafen München GmbH since January 2020. He is the chairman of the management board and also holds the office of labor director.
