The journey between airport and hotel must be in the form of a private transfer. Another PCR test must be carried out on site. The result must be awaited at the hotel.

In addition, one must have health insurance that includes coverage for Covid-19 diseases in the territory of Myanmar. It is explicitly required that this also covers the costs of any hotel quarantine, which official figures can cost up to 4.500 US dollars. The country's tourist office sells policies that start at around $50 and are valid for 15 days.
