For travel lovers who are looking forward to starting their journey in June, restrictions in German airspace will make themselves felt. Due to the NATO exercise "Air Defender 23", which is held in German airspace, flight operations have to be enjoyed with restrictions.

In June 2023, more specifically from June 12th to June 23rd, "Air Defender 23" will take place, a NATO exercise in which numerous pilots in German airspace will simulate and train for the course of the war. During this exercise, flight operations are to be completely canceled for two hours a day, with the Air Force promising to keep these inconveniences for air traffic to a manageable extent. During flight operations, airlines have to fly around the closed airspace in order to be able to start their flight operations according to the standards, as the daily newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau reports.
