New bus connection between Lörrach and EuroAirport

The EuroAirport Basel/Mulhouse now has even better connections to local public transport. The new regional bus line 220 "FREUND" connects Lörrach directly with the airport. The line runs every hour and every half hour during peak times and provides a convenient connection between the neighboring German city and the cross-border airport. The ceremonial inauguration took place on Saturday with a joint trip to the former customs platform at Palmrain.

The Regiobus line 220 is the first direct bus connection between Germany and France on the southern Upper Rhine. It complements the existing public transport network that connects the EuroAirport with the train stations in Basel, Saint-Louis and Freiburg as well as other cities in the cross-border area. The bus offers travelers the opportunity to change to the DB railway network and the Regio-S-Bahn in Lörrach.

In addition to the new bus service, the Flixbus connection between Freiburg and EuroAirport will also remain in place and will continue to reach the airport in around an hour. The new bus line is integrated into the tariff association of the Regio Verkehrsverbund Lörrach (RVL) and offers both single tickets and subscriptions for commuters and travelers.
