Dresden Airport is expanding its route network: As of June 25, 2024, Sundair will be launching a new direct connection from Dresden to Monastir, Tunisia. The flight will be offered weekly on Tuesdays. Sundair is currently the leading holiday airline from Dresden and also offers flights to Egypt, Spain, Greece and Bulgaria.

Other innovations at Dresden Airport include new airlines and connections: Since June 22, Fly Lili has been flying for DER Touristik to Burgas, Bulgaria every Monday and Saturday. From September 13, Air Anka will connect Dresden with Antalya in Turkey, a popular holiday destination for travelers from central Germany.
