Niceair intends to launch temporary non-stop flights from Akureyri (Iceland) to Edinburgh and Berlin later this year. These are to be carried out with Airbus A319s from Hifly Malta. For the time being, these are formally individual charter flights.

For the time being, two charter flights are planned for the German capital. These are to be carried out on November 10, 2022 and December 1, 2022 under flight number HFM241. The return flights are announced for November 13, 2022 and December 4, 2022 as HFM242.

It is scheduled to go to Edinburgh on October 20, 2022 and November 17, 2022 as HFM231. The return flights are scheduled as HFM232 on October 23, 2022 and November 20, 2022 respectively. As in Berlin, these are initially individual charter flights.

Niceair is a so-called virtual airline that does not have its own certificates. As a sales company, Hi Fly Malta has been commissioned with the operational execution of the flights. The UK flights turned out to be a flop because those responsible had not taken into account that it was due to the UK's exit from the EU far-reaching changes in the area of traffic rights.
