At ministerial level, the transport ministers of North Macedonia and Montenegro are negotiating the possible resumption of non-stop flights between Podgorica and Skopje. It is believed that there is potential for this route, particularly in the leisure sector.

In the previous year there were intensive talks between Skopje Airport and Air Montenegro. However, these have not been successful. Now the two transport ministers are trying to find a solution. The last time the defunct B&H Airlines offered this route was in 2011. The latter carrier also dropped this connection due to unpaid airport fees.
