After a pandemic-related suspension, Wizz Air will resume the connection between Nuremberg and Tuzla.

On board the first flight was Christian Schmidt, High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina and former Federal Minister with his wife Ria Schmidt. “Integrating Bosnia and Herzegovina even more closely into Europe in terms of infrastructure is another important step towards deepening relations. Bosnia and Herzegovina is only an hour's flight away and is an important partner in the Western Balkans, ”emphasized High Representative Schmidt. Citizens with roots in the Balkans or Bosnia and Herzegovina living in the metropolitan region of Nuremberg could visit friends and family more easily and the economic exchange could be intensified.

"We see an important contribution to the European integration process in our growing range of flights to Southeast Europe," confirms airport manager Michael Hupe. Wizz Air, which specializes in Southeastern Europe, has been flying to Bosnia and Herzegovina with an Airbus A17 since December 320th. As a second destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Banja Luka will be served by Ryanair from March 31st.
