Fatigue: Virgin pilots vote for industrial action

Advertising

In a ballot, the pilots flying for Virgin Atlantic, who are organized in the Balpa union, voted in favor of a strike with a 96 percent majority. The background is concerns about the flight and roster regulations.

The BBC reports, among other things, that there are said to be concerns on the part of employee representatives about fatigue and malaise. Virgin Atlantic has already responded and wants to negotiate with the union in the upcoming winter of 2023/24.
