Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport and the districts of Gütersloh and Lippe will go their separate ways with immediate effect.

The exit from the airport is now a done deal. The conditions for this have also already been negotiated. The districts of Gütersloh and Lippe are transferring around three million euros each for the termination of the cooperation and the renovation of the regional airport. In return, the latter takes over the shares of the two departing shareholders. That is eight percent each, reports the West German Broadcasting. The approval is still pending. After the break-in due to the CoV crisis, the airport operator filed for bankruptcy under self-administration in order to pull the ailing airport out of the crisis.
