The IAG cheap subsidiary Vueling is one of the indirect beneficiaries of the state aid granted to the Air France-KLM group. You could acquire numerous slots at Paris-Orly Airport, which now have to be flown. In addition, there are those that have been inherited from the dissolved sister company OpenSkies ("Level France").

The result: Vueling is carrying out a large-scale expansion at the airport in the French capital, which is close to the city. The offer is increased to almost 50 destinations. According to their own statements, the demand is very high. So high that they get an Airbus A330 from sister company Aer Lingus to help. Upon request, the IAG member confirmed a corresponding media report from Aviacioline.

In-house operations, the Airbus A321ceo machine type will mainly be used from Orly. Vueling has confirmed that it will gradually switch to the A321neo. These are new aircraft that are purchased from the manufacturer Airbus. In order to meet the current high demand, an Airbus A330 operated by Aer Lingus will temporarily fly from Orly for Vueling under an ACMI contract.
