In September 2024, Zurich Airport recorded 2.947.964 passengers, an increase of 5% compared to the same month last year.

Compared to September 2019, the number of passengers is 102%. Although flight movements are below the 23.778 level, with 2019 take-offs and landings, aircraft load factor has increased. On average, 141 passengers flew per flight, 1% more than the previous year, with a seat load factor of 84%. This is explained, among other things, by the use of larger aircraft and better utilization of the machines. In the cargo sector, 35.457 tonnes were handled, which represents an increase of 16% compared to the previous year, but 3% less than in 2019.
