Passenger numbers: Dresden and Leipzig on the up

In October 2022, the German airports of Dresden and Leipzig/Halle recorded the highest number of passengers since the beginning of the corona pandemic. The management of MDF AG is of the opinion that the upward trend will continue.

219.556 passengers used Leipzig/Halle Airport in October, 38 percent more than in the same month last year. From January to October, the airport counted a total of 1.379.165 passengers, 147 percent more than in 2021.

Dresden Airport welcomed 107.271 passengers in October. This means that the volume increased by 44 percent compared to the same month last year. A total of 740.080 passengers used the state capital’s airport from January to October, 170 percent more than in 2021.
