At the start of the Pentecost holidays in Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart Airport is again expecting significantly more passengers.

According to the preliminary status, almost 4.000 flights are planned for the two weeks of vacation after Pentecost (period Friday, June 03.06.2022rd, 19.06.2022 - Sunday, June 260th, 370). Busiest day at the start is the Friday before the start of the holidays with around 300 take-offs and landings. With around XNUMX connections, the Turkish coastal city of Antalya is number one for the most popular destinations this year, followed by Palma de Mallorca with almost XNUMX flights, according to the airport in a broadcast.

Good preparation is important for a relaxed start

Travelers are recommended to always have all required travel documents to hand at the airport. Expect more time at check-in or through security at peak times in the early morning and afternoon. Passengers should therefore be at the airport at least two hours before departure in order to start their vacation as relaxed as possible. Travelers should find out whether masks are compulsory on their flight or in their holiday country. Wearing an FFP2 mask is still strongly recommended in the terminals.

The state airport is easy to reach by public transport. If you are driven to the departure point by car, you should note the new Kiss & Fly regulation in front of the terminal: you can stay there for a maximum of 8 minutes free of charge. Alternatively, you can park in the immediate vicinity of the terminal for EUR 2,50 for 30 minutes. The first hour is still free on car park P0.
