As expected, Austrian Airlines will initially use the new Boeing 787-9 on short-haul routes. For example, from Vienna to Düsseldorf and Berlin.

The flights serve to train the pilots. According to a report from Aeroroutes.com, the plan is to fly from Vienna to Düsseldorf vice versa with Dreamliner on June 17th and 18th, 2024. This is planned for the Berlin route on June 26, 2024. This information should be viewed with caution, as these are training flights and short-term changes have occurred extremely frequently in recent months.
